My favourite gary cooper film's: High noon🤠
Gary Cooper had an awkwardness that made him so appealing..such a complicated situation that eventually got sorted..with baby and all.. 🍼
1:08:00 you see, this is what happens when the entrepreneur marries a roadblock. the roadblock being the type of character who wants stability over risk. the man pitched a subscription idea and he has the secret recipes for success: enthusiasm and raw unbridled belief. anybody versed in "manifestation" or reads BOOKS on making money (that were available even at that time) knows that's all he needs. and here is this woman who literally snuffs his enthusiasm out, begs him to settle for less, settle for a paycheck. making him think he has "bad luck" (now feeling foolish about his standardly brilliant idea... i mean, its literally a sub for value info, its a working business model to this day) oh ok so i see she didnt break him down. good for him!
I recently watched the silent film Children of Divorce with Gary and Clara Bow. And HOly Cow young Gary Cooper is the handsomest man I 've ever seen.
Cooper plays a 37 year year old idiot but manages, just, to pull it off. Fun movie 👍🏻🏴.. Reminiscent of a Carry On film.
It was going just fine and then the last few minutes of the movie has no audio!!! 😢
Downloaded god flash time
Is that the WIZARD from The Wizard of Oz? He looks familiar!
I see why Gary Cooper is a legendary superstar in this movie.
This was Not hilarious!!! Silly.
"Portrait of Jennie 1948" has to be one of the most endearing stories of inspiration and romance between a canvas painter on hard times in 1930s New York, and a girl, Jennie Appleton, from a bygone age (1910s), who blossoms into woman seemingly within months, and mysteriously comes and goes. She meets her end at a lighthouse, The Land's End Light, at Cape Cod, where a freak wave washes her into the sea. But the painter, Eben Adams, is left with her beautiful portrait which adorns a museum and is highly esteemed in the art community. The film is hauntingly beautiful and has to be a work of love and art. You must see it!
If Da Vinci was a major beefcake, maybe he could lay claim to being the male Hedy Lamarr.
A lovely movie
Thanks for posting this. I recommend it. What it lacks in -not the greatest dancing, singing, acting or songs ( by the great Mack Gordon, lyrics: "At Last", "There Will Never Be Another You" and Josef Myrow, composer "If I'm Lucky" "You Make Me Feel So Young") or choreography-everything is close, but, for me, kinda misses; it makes up for in creativity with dream sequences and delightful animation interspersed with the story..I enjoyed the cleverness of that very much, and the lighting, interiors, the COSTUMES, colors. In spite of its shortcomings, the movie manages to create a magical world for me. And that looks like Russel Wright china in the dishwashing scene which is worth watching.
We grew up with a "Madge"in our family. She was our protector from strangers and the belt of my dads.A full grown bitch Great Dane. She was Queen of the hood.😊
Something to curl up with on a cloudy afternoon. And just enjoy.
This is a very powerful movie
Beautiful Claudette and awesome Orson!! Brilliant film, from a classic Era!!
❤❤❤❤❤😘😘😘😘😘
Aunt Jessie? 😮😮😮
Aunt Jessie? 😮😮😮
Daniel looks like David....
Larry or Harry? 😅 Sounds like a good owner of a bank to invest... In the future...
This is a disaster. It surely bombed at the box office. The script sucked and the plot didn't utilize or explore the conflict between mother and daughter "involved" with the same man very effectively. Lamar was a mess and the daughter was too old to be playing the part of a college girl.
Wow, what a fool I was with my solution. A great film.
Magnificent film they don't make them like that anymore Orsan Wells was great and so was Claudette Colbert.
Even in a suit, i see him as a cowboy just like John Wayne
Happy heavenly birthday to Jennifer Jones (March 2, 1919 - December 17, 2009) 🎂
very nice oldie, thanks for posting
A real story, with real actors, from a time when people actually had class
This one didn't work for me but I can see why others would love it.
Quel plaisir de redécouvrir ce film !!! Dimanche soir, un verre de Pinot !!! Merci pour le partage !!!🇫🇷🇦🇺

Thats love in all its beauty sometimes the power of it just makes you cry
Not the New York of today ..
One of Max Steiners best
Another heartwarming winner with Loretta! I really like Kent Smith too. 😊
The cast, the screenplay, the direction, this film couldn't fail.
Rosebud....Rosebud 😭
Did anyone notice the scooter? And I thought it was fairly recent invention, from the 90s or so, wow, so suprising
And roller skates were from even further back!😂😂
completely meaningless, and a waste of time...
Static blips are unpleasant on the soundtrack!
How can a quadriplegic wiggle their toes?
♥️
Ah, the sweet golden age of Hollywood❣ Claudette Colbert, Orson Welles, George Brent, and sweet, young and very talented Natalie Wood, and a drama that left me in tears and very optimistic.
Sure Mr. Marco is a viscid person.....
One of the best film noir's made. John Payne always the badass and lovely Evelyn Keyes steals each scene.
Too funny!!! Just loved it! ♥️
